Corporate History
In recent years, due to China's economic growth, Japanese companies expanding into China, and South Korean companies entering the Japanese market, the economic distance between these three countries has started to shrink.
Consequently, the demand for maritime transportation logistics has been steadily increasing, as has the demand for intermediaries connecting shipowners and cargo owners.
In the midst of a challenging business environment, cargo owners are keen on reducing logistics costs wherever possible.
However, amidst the multitude of shipping companies availabile, finding the best fit for one's preferences and needs can be extremely difficult. At the same time, shipping companies from countries like China, South Korea, and Vietnam often offer transportation services at more competitive rates compared to those of Japanese companies.
To bring together this increasing demand with those that can best fulfill it, our company leverages its extensive connections and networks to facilitate matching between cargo owners and the most appropriate shipping companies for their needs.
Our International Network of Marine Transportation Businesses
The founder of Meiko Logistics graduated from Dalian Maritime University, a partner school of Kobe University of Maritime Sciences.
Following graduation, he has been involved in the maritime transportation industry for many years in both China and Japan.
During this time, he has cultivated a wide-ranging network of contacts that extends not only throughout Japan and China but also to Korea, Taiwan, and European countries.
